UPFurniture Collaborates with Shanghai Wujiaochang Innovation and Entrepreneurship Academy to Create a New Hub for Co-Working and Innovation
Recently, UPFurniture has partnered with the Shanghai Wujiaochang Innovation and Entrepreneurship Academy to collaboratively establish a co-working space capable of accommodating 350 people for office use and hosting two events with over 100 participants simultaneously.
This collaboration represents a fusion of furniture design and innovation entrepreneurship, shaping a non-traditional educational institution for the modern era.
The Shanghai Wujiaochang Innovation and Entrepreneurship Academy, initiated by the Yangpu District government in collaboration with renowned universities such as Fudan University, Tongji University, Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, and Shanghai Polytechnic University, is a non-profit educational and service organization. The academy, consisting of interconnected North and South buildings, features office spaces predominantly in the North building along with public leisure areas, while the South building houses a main auditorium and conference center.
North Building – Harmonizing Tradition with Innovation
The North building underwent transformation from a structure dating back to the 60s and 70s, deliberately preserving the original terrazzo flooring to retain a sense of historical depth. UPFurniture has provided a loft-style ceiling and office furniture for the North building, creating an industrial-themed co-working space. Due to the characteristics of terrazzo flooring, electrical planning has been executed along the walls, allowing for convenient placement of office furniture and equipment.
South Building – Fusion of Novel Design and Industrial Aesthetics
The South building, a newly constructed space, maintains an overall industrial design. UPFurniture has utilized carpeting resembling terrazzo, enhancing the comfort of the space. The Z-shaped spatial partitions complement the cutting lines of the ceiling and lighting, imparting a unique sense of future experience and vitality to the space. Whether for large multimedia conference spaces or small to medium-sized collaboration areas, UPFurniture’s furniture solutions contribute to the versatility of the South building.
UPFurniture is honored to have contributed furniture solutions to the office spaces of the Shanghai Wujiaochang Innovation and Entrepreneurship Academy, fostering a more creative and flexible working environment.
